Our current administrative staff:
My name is Krissi Williams. I am the CEO for Northern Rush County Schools. My primary function for the Corporation is to serve as the Head Administrator and financial officer. I work on the finances, grant writing, as well as daily operations of the Corporation. I am also a practicing Enrolled Agent and hold an Accounting Degree. Before taking this position, I worked in public accounting for 25 years.
I am a lifelong resident of Rush County and live with my husband of 20 years, Brian. We have two children, Morgan and Brandon. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, the outdoors, and spending time with my family and pets. We have 3 dogs: Zoe, Mia and Diego; two cats: Chloe and Mr. Whiskers; along with a miniature donkey, two chinchillas, two sugar gliders, an alpaca, and a duck!
My name is Mrs. Shannon New and I am excited to be the new principal of Mays Community Academy. This year will begin my twentieth year in education. I received a dual bachelors in elementary and special education from Ball State University. I earned my Masters in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University and my administrative license from Western Governors University. I spent fourteen years as a teacher at Heather Hills Elementary in Warren Township. The last five years, I have worked in the charter school world in Indianapolis.
As the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, I worked first hand with teachers and students in classrooms. Although now in administration, I am first and foremost a teacher dedicated to making the educational experience and positive and rewarding one for all students and staff.
When I am not at school, I am at home with my husband and two children on our farm in Morristown. My daughter, Elexie, will be a sophomore and my son, Conner, will be a seventh grader at Morristown JR/SR High School. We are actively involved with our animals, sports, 4-H, and FFA. Together, we are looking forward to being active members of the Mays community.
I am Hollee Peggs and I am very excited to have been chosen as the Administrative Assistant at Mays Community Academy. I live in Rush County with my Husband Kevin, and our twin 3 year old boys Porter and Sumner. We live on our farm and raise cattle and maybe one day we will have a puppy. In my free time I enjoy family trips, outdoor walks / exercise, and spending time with family and friends. Before I came to MCA, I worked at Rush Memorial for 11 and a half years.
